Description:
The Hope Fellowship Program is a regional program that provides opportunities for in-country training and community initiatives, regional networking and advocacy, and hands-on learning through study visits to Washington D.C., for women and men from Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. In-country training on various topics (leadership, advocacy, youth, anti-corruption, and management and communications) strengthens the skills of decision-makers in institutions and civil society to enhance democratic processes in their respective countries. Leadership Dialogues for Action, a series of regional conferences sponsored by the project, brings together participants from institutions and civil society to discuss common issues to strengthen regional dialogue, cooperation, and networking. Once a year, two participants from each country spend two weeks in Washington D.C. participating in roundtables, strategic site visits, and consultations with professionals working on issues of particular interest to participant. The program targets people between 18-45 years old, different ethnic groups, and women in government institutions and/or civil society leaders.
